Since the beginning of 2020 the BIA Group has a production site in Mexico. Based in San Luis Potosí in central Mexico, the plant is located in one of the centres of the American automotive industry. From here BIA supplies primarily its American customer base.
BIA acts as a full-service provider. At BIA all product-related processes are mapped out in-house. From design data optimisation to plastic injection moulding and surface treatment to assembly and quality assurance, BIA offers all processes from a single source. The BIA Group, headquartered in Solingen Germany, is one of the leading suppliers of high-quality surface finishes for the automotive industry. The focus is on chrome-plated components for both interior and exterior. BIA counts almost all European and numerous Japanese automobile manufacturers among its customers.
At the San Luis Potosí location, manufacturing expertise is concentrated on BIA's three core processes: plastic injection moulding, electroplating and final inspection. In addition, lacquered surfaces, translucent and structured chrome surfaces, hot stamping and much more can be realized within the group of companies. Plastic Injection Moulding
We manufacture our blank parts according to the specifications of our customers in state-of-the-art injection moulding machines. We can meet almost all customer requirements, from simple 1-component parts to complex 2-component and multi-component solutions using a variety of plastics.
Electroplating
In our electroplating plant we produce bright and matt chrome tones according to customer-specific specifications. Many of these manufacturer specifications have been developed by BIA. We can produce chrome finishes from both conventional chrome(VI) and chrome(III) processes.
Final inspection
The final 100% visual inspection by specially qualified BIA inspection staff is considered exemplary in the industry. The final inspection at the San Luis Potosí location is carried out in accordance with the high standards of the BIA Group and the quality standards of the automotive industry.
